Frequently Asked Questions

FAQ's

Do I Need A Physician’s Referral?

In the state of Tennessee, a referral is not needed to be seen by a physical therapist. Patients are able to receive up to 90 days of physical therapy treatment before your physical therapist must consult with your physician.

Do You Take My Insurance?

The good news is that Integrative Physical Therapy and Wellness provides premium physical therapy and wellness services outside of the world of insurance. We can provide the care that you need without restrictions from insurance companies. This often means that patients get better faster and achieve better outcomes in a shorter period of time. Overall, total costs often end up being cheaper than going through insurance because there are less treatment visits. In addition, many times patients have an insurance deductible that has not been met when they attend physical therapy offices that accept insurance. This means the patient gets hit with a large bill after physical therapy has been completed because they had not reached there deductible. By doing cash pay you are always aware of what each visit costs. In addition, we can provide you with a receipt to complete a self-claim for out-of-network physical therapy coverage if you wish to submit costs to your insurance.

How Long Is The Session?

Sessions start on the hour and last for 50 minutes.

If I Am A Medicare Beneficiary, Can I Pay For Services?

Integrated Physical Therapy and Wellness has no relationship with Medicare and cannot accept out of pocket payments for services that are normally covered by Medicare UNLESS THESE EXCEPTIONS ARE MET. If a Medicare beneficiary clearly states of their own free will that they refuse to have their services billed to Medicare, they have the right to be seen by Integrative Physical Therapy and Wellness. Integrative Physical Therapy and Wellness is not a Medicare provider and neither the patient nor Integrative Physical Therapy and Wellness is allowed to bill Medicare or any secondary insurance provider for services rendered. NEITHER A BILL FOR PAYMENT NOR RECEIPT FOR REIMBURSEMENT MAY BE SUBMITTED TO MEDICARE OR SECONDARY INSURANCE. Additionally, if the service is “non-covered” (e.g. maintenance therapy, prevention, wellness/fitness), then the physical therapist can collect out of pocket payment from the Medicare beneficiary.

What Type Of Clothing Should I Wear/Bring?

Comfortable clothing that can provide easy access to problem areas allows us to better assess and treat you.

Which Forms Should I Complete?

All forms are listed under the new patient tab and be returned prior to the first session.
